Bulletin/Greeting: What, you’ve found my demopage?! You are a cool person and I appreciate you.
DemoPages Session Experience: I have recorded live-off-the-floor stuff before; singing and playing acoustic guitar is pretty fundamental to who I am musically. I’ve been interviewed by local radio stations and stuff too and am always happy to yap to someone about music and meaning. But creating a page like this? Unfamiliar. Feels like what I envision MySpace having been (2004; missed the window of opportunity).
DemoPages Session: #004
DemoPages Session Date: Tuesday, July 28th, 2026
about me
Band Members:
Amanda Braam - Lead vocals, acoustic/electric guitar, songwriting
Fiona Sinclair - Electric guitar, piano, backing vocals
Lenny Muth - Bass, backing vocals
Simon Dawes - Drums, loving boyfriend
Influences: Adrianne Lenker, Alvvays, Death Cab for Cutie, Elliot Smith, Lamp, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead (sorry), Joni Mitchel (sorry), June Henry, Pinegrove, Chet Baker, Jessica Pratt, Gregory and the Hawk, The Weakerthans, Carpenters, Tchotchke, The Cranberries….it’s someone new every week. I listen to albums and entire discographies of artists. My songwriting is so dependent on whatever my musical input is at any given moment. If I’m not listening to much music, I’m not making much either.
I love reading. My favourite book series is The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
My favourite author is Eve J Chung.
My favourite author is Eve J Chung.
Sounds Like: Siren / mermaid music. I’ve been told this multiple times by audience members. Supposedly I lull you into a trance with rich harmonies, crunchy chords, catchy melodies, and lyrics that are sometimes blunt and sometimes very metaphorical. And then I cause shipwrecks?
Listens to: Buck Meek, Bob Dylan, The Cure, American Football, Grandaddy, The Front Bottoms, The Feminine Complex, Whitehorse, Linda Perhacs, Oso Oso, Connie Converse, Japanese Breakfast, Fog Lake, No Vacation, Slowdive, Matt Maltese, Ella Fitzgerald…

Bio: Amanda Braam, hailing from Kitchener, ON, blends the sincerity of folk, the crunchy harmony of jazz, and the catchy melodies of pop. Amanda released her album, Paper Cranes, alongside two music videos in 2024. Since then, she’s released multiple singles of her own and an acoustic EP as half of the duo Roundabout Dance in 2026. Amanda shares her songs with audiences throughout the province, both solo and with her band "The Paper Cranes". She has become known for her siren-like vocals and intricate acoustic guitar lines. Outside of performing, Amanda works as a music therapist, music educator, and community musician with The Lullaby Project, which pairs at-risk mothers with a musician to write and record an original song for their children.
